This post is dedicated to Janene...

For the very simple reason that you asked me "Don't you miss God?"

Here's all my gratitude to you for the million things in those four words...
For once it wasn't about whether I had pride that was blocking my way back to God, or bitterness, resentment, anger... For once it wasn't about whether I was being defiant and wilful against God... For once... it wasn't about whether or not God still loves me despite all this...

I guess it's not about whether I need to be convinced that God is good all the time, or the urgency to get me back on the right track with God and "holiness"... Too many times people launch into "God loves you", "God cares for you", "Go back to church"... I am challenged from every angle regarding my spiritual life... Or rather, lack thereof... It makes me tired or arguing for my reasons, tired of the guilt trip I have to face everytime I come face to face with another Christian...

I suppose it's hard for people to understand, simply because this circumstance is unique to me... How it links up with my past faith, to present despair, to fear for the future...

I guess it's hard for people to imagine feeling like they've been let down and abandoned by the very person, who is so perfect and loving in every way, who simply cannot let anyone down or abandon them...

I always feel a twinge of pain every time I read the email I get from Agape Love Devine Ministries and wonder where on earth do they get these stories. All I feel is a peace for the people in the stories... I'm glad that they've come to know God in such a special way... Yet I cry for myself, this girl who once knew God like these story people did, who cannot believe anymore... Because the very person who loved her and whom she loved so much became the main source of her pain...

Though I can't pray for myself anymore, thanks Janene, for remembering me and your prayers for this little angel with torn wings...
